John 14:13 " And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son." John 14:31a  "but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me. " I think of the tough questions like Why was Jesus here? What was His purpose? Why would He do anything for me? The answers are not as hard as we may think. I think Jesus tells us very plainly. Jesus was here, Jesus' purpose and what He did for me is explained in the fourteenth chapter of John . Jesus came so that the Father may be glorified in the son and so we learn that Jesus love[s] the Father , as is evidenced by do[ing] exactly what [his] Father ha[d] commanded [him].
